Droitwich Spa Football Club
Droitwich Spa Football Club was formed in 1985, and represent the town of Droitwich Spa in the National Football Pyramid, being Droitwich's only senior football club competing in National competitions.
After promotion in 2020/21, during a time which saw Spa ground-sharing at Stourport, the Saltmen currently play at Step 6 (Midland Football League Division 1).
The newly renovated (2022) Kingys Stadium has a covered stand with 100 seats, including facilities for wheelchair-bound spectators, along with an 80-capacity bar area with 3 big screen TV's and vending machines, hot and cold refreshments, indoor and outdoor toilets, and car parking facilities.
The ground is to be officially opened by former Liverpool player and Newcastle United Manager Kevin Keegan in November 2022.
The club's location of Kingys is off Briar Mill (behind the Leisure Centre, and vehicle access is gained through the Leisure Centre car park).
For Droitwich's enaugral first home game at the new stadium, after 5 years away, 510 spectators were in attendance to see Spa defeat Cradley Town, 3-1.
Since then, attendances have averaged 250, making Droitwich Spa FC one of the best supported clubs across the UK at Step 6.
